Introducing Youtube

100 hours of new videos are uploaded to YouTube, every minute. Over 6 billion hours of video are watched each month on YouTube – that’s almost an hour for every person on Earth.

YouTube is a video-sharing website, created by three former PayPal employees in February 2005 YouTube was founded by Chad Hurley, Steve Chen, and Jawed Karim. The original idea for YouTube was a video version of an online dating service, and also a platform where people can share the video message. The first YouTube video was entitled Me at the zoo, and shows co-founder Jawed Karim at the San Diego Zoo. It’s an 18 seconds short video. In October 2006, Google Inc. announced that it had acquired YouTube for $1.65 billion in Google stock, and the deal was finalized on November 13, 2006. After that, you can see some changes in YouTube, including the interface of YouTube, combination with Google+, and of course events that were create by GOOGLE , such as the YouTube Symphony Orchestra, which we will mention latter. Function. YouTube is a video-sharing website on which users can upload, view and share videos, from video clips, TV clips, to music videos, even amateur content such as video blogging, short original videos, and educational videos. Therefore, you can not only demonstrate yourself, but also take something from YouTube. A very good example is the Khan Academy and numerous of dancing tutorials and online cooking lessons.

In 2013, YouTube announced it will be shutting down after eight years and will no longer accept videos. The news comes, of course, just before April Fools’ Day. The company teamed up with The Onion to claim that the video sharing website was launched as a contest to find the best home video on the Internet which had finally come to an end, and would announce a winner of the contest when the site went back up in 2023. YTMA. The First-Ever YouTube Music Awards (YTMA) were held at New York City’s and were broadcast live at Youtube. Some notable artists, including Lindsey Stirling (collaboration), Tyler, The Creator, Lady Gaga and Eminem, performed. Fans could vote in each category by posting a specific links from Youtube on their Facebook, Google+ or Twitter. The video with the most posts in each category was the winner. The show was mostly unscripted because the director

wanted the show to “..feel like a Youtube video— the raw messiness of making stuff…” YTSO. The YouTube Symphony Orchestra (YTSO) is an orchestra assembled by open auditions hosted by YouTube, the London Symphony Orchestra and several other worldwide partners. Judge would select the upload videos and invite the winners to travel to participate in the YouTube Symphony Orchestra. In 2009, the YTSO was held in Carnegie Hall, N.Y. In 2011, they were held at the Sydney Opera House. It was “the most-watched live music concert on the Internet”, and “the most frequently viewed concert in the history of the video-sharing website”.

Now, we have talk about a lot of things about YouTube, but none of these could happen if YouTube doesn’t have these group of people-YouTubers. YouTubers are people who create their own channel and make their own videos then upload it on YouTube. Sounds simple, yet it includes a lot. short video makers such as Nigahiga, kevjumba to the music reproducers such as Kurt Hugo Schneider The YouTube Partner Program features

As a YouTube partner, your eligible videos may earn money from relevant ads after you enable them for monetization. On June 19, 2007, Google CEO Eric Schmidt was in Paris to launch the new localization system, in which the YouTube interface suggests which local version should be chosen on the basis of your IP address. Therefore, in some cases, the message “This video is not available in your country” may appear due to variety of reasons, such as something inappropriate for youth, copyright protection, preventing criticism of a ruler, government, government officials, religion, or religious leaders, and so on, but most of the time this has something to do with politics or religion. So what does it really means? Well, there are two possibilities. You are not the target market of these channels, or these videos are forbidden in your country. First, let’s talk about the former one. YouTube has a marketing and advertising partnership with MGM, Lions Gate Entertainment, and other companies. And for YouTube users in the US and the UK, they can enjoy the full-length films or television episodes offered by those companies, accompanied by advertisements in a section for called

“Shows”. In January 2010, YouTube introduced an online film rentals service, which is available only to users in the US, Canada and the UK. And that’s why we can watch those videos. After the localization in 2007, the interface of the website is available with localized versions in 61 countries, one territory (Hong Kong), a worldwide version and 54 language versions. But in some countries YouTube is completely blocked. In other countries access to the website as a whole remains open, but access to specific videos is blocked. In cases where the entire site is banned due to one particular video, YouTube will often agree to remove or limit access to that video in order to restore service. In September 2012, countries with standing national bans on YouTube include China, Iran, Pakistan, and Turkmenistan. Like we have mentioned, most of the time this has something to do with politics or religion.
