American Founding Principles

(Part 2)

The the three principles of the founding fathers that I am going to write about are personal freedom, separation of powers and equality of opportunity.

The fight for personal freedom is something that to this day we fight for. The founding fathers knew the way they were being treated was not right. The British king had all the power and enacted the Stamp Act.This in my opinion was an eye opening experience and the first time the people stepped back and realized they did not have any personal freedom. They had the British that held control over them with every thing they did. The freedom was not there, just like today we do not have certain freedoms which the government controls. We have elected officials in office today that are trying to take away for example are right to bear arms and take away a moms choice of abortion. The vision our founding fathers was everyone under God should have personal freedom and a limited government.

I totally believe that we have really moved away from limited government which protects personal freedom. To have personal freedom there needs to be less to govern you, todays culture has changed to more government. Today we have many more social programs for example that give away food and medical stuff for free to people that are more than capable to work.
